The Festival Season is here!

The Festival season is here – it’s time to find the missing tent poles, climb to the top of the wardrobe to reunite yourself with your favourite sparkly sunhat and venture forth to live in the middle of a muddy field with hundreds or even thousands of people you don’t know. Yes the British tradition of festival going is part of our national psyche and more and more festivals are appearing every year to satisfy our insatiable appetite for all things musical, theatrical and mystical.

Well the good news is that many of the organisers are keen to attract families and put a lot of energy and passion into making sure that festival goers of all ages have a great time. And it’s not just about music – it’s the whole experience whether you love camping, glamping or just a day out, whether you prefer canapes or veggie burgers – its all out there waiting to be discovered, Yes you may have to compromise on the cleanliness of the toilet facilities (help) and the lack of home comforts, but it is a great experience which usually bonds a family – even those with stroppy teenagers!

Our team of adventurers will be getting out there come rain or shine to preview and review some of the best family friendly festivals. Here is a small selection of new and established festivals which are guaranteed to inspire.

If you are new to the family orientated festival scene then give it a go. Try to ensure that you are there as the night draws in because it’s a real magical world of fairy lights that children love.

See you there!
