So Cambridge Folk Festival is over for another year and it was another great success for all the family. There was loads to do for music fans of all ages including brilliant story telling, juggling and lots of great child friendly activities.
The festival site is brilliantly organised and despite the large crowd of over 10,000 it is small and friendly enough to allow parents to relax. There was a choice of diverse music across a choice of stages, but the our 4 year old’s highlight was the traditional Children’s performance on Sunday morning which this year featured The New Rope Band who combined comedy and dance with great muscianship to keep even the youngest ones entertained.
And of course there was the inevitable downpour on the Saturday night, but even the mud provided a little entertainment for young welly-clad adventurers.
Looking forward to next year’s already!
